A mid-century round chromed steel ashtray... The shiny metal ashtray or space-age ornament is a small round shiny orb on a single leg with round base. The sphere/orb flips open to reveal a cigarette rest within the lid. The neat round lid seals any ash within.

A simple modernist and Space Age inspired shape and typical of that time - circa 1960s to mid 1970s. Shiny and highly reflective (excuse the reflections). 9cm tall, the orb is 5.5cm diameter.

In good condition externally, great for display. Signs of previous use internally and around the edges. It has an old black velvet base to protect your table, this may well reveal a maker's mark below.
