Vintage Scheurich 806-17 pottery plant pot holder. West German ceramic 1960s/1970s retro. Olive green, Fat Lava era indoor planter. Germany.

A lovely larger-sized vintage plant pot holder by Scheurich, West Germany. Dating from the 'fat lava' 1960s/1970s era, this is a glossy olive green pot with an aqua green and white bubbly speckled area. The finish is smooth and glossy with a matte brown inner. The organic speckles look moss or lichen-like. Nice straight-sided, lightly flared shape - Mid Century Modern and retro in styling.

The shape is 806-17, a large size. 14.2cm tall x 16.6cm wide at the rim. It would fit a flower pot up to 14cm tall. For indoor use only. Stamped to base.

Very good condition. There are areas of thinner glaze along the rim, see photos. Some water marks internally with light crazing inside - tested for water tightness (works perfectly). The tiniest insignificant fleabite on the baseline shown in photo 4.

Perfect statement for your retro plants on your mid century shelving.
