A large vintage floor vase by Scheurich Keramik, West Germany, dating from the 1960s or 1970s 'fat lava' era. This vintage pottery vase is off-white, with a three dark stripes of highly textured burst bubble glaze.

The off-white is smooth and satin, contrasting with the black thick bubble textures. Glossy brown inside. A typical simple Scheurich shape, mid century modern and retro in styling - perfect statement for your retro interior and to add to a collection. Great size for a bunch of large statement stems or as an umbrella stand.

The shape is 553-38... 38 denoting 38cm tall. 18cm wide. Inside rim is 9.5cm wide. Stamped to the base. Excellent condition apart from one chip to the base. Please see photos showing decor, colour and condition. Any burst bubbles and flaws in the glaze were deliberate and from at the time of manufacture.
