Vintage Scheurich 242-22 West German pottery vase, Fat Lava era. 1960s/70s retro ceramic pot Germany. Duck egg blue green lines, deep yellow

A more unusual retro vase by Scheurich Keramik, West Germany, dating from the 1960s/1970s 'fat lava' era.

This vintage pottery vase is matt and a speckled dusky duck egg blue colour. It features five lines (three straight and turret-like, two wobbly within). The stripes are slightly raised and glossy in places. Internally, it's a lush egg yolk (or sunflower) deep yellow. It tapers inwards towards the round rim, a typical simple Scheurich shape. Mid Century Modern and retro in styling - perfect statement for your teak sideboard and to add to a collection. Perfect size for a decent bunch of flowers and ideal to match with dusky duck-egg or blue/green decor.

The shape is 242-22... 22 denoting 22cm tall. 11cm wide max. Rim is 8cm wide. Stamped to the base. Very good condition with no chips. Please see photos showing decor and condition.
