Vintage Robert Welch Victor England recipe book stand. Cream cast iron cookbook holder. 1980s kitchen gadget, cast ware. Sturdy & heavy. 80s

A Robert Welch design cookbook stand, from the Victor Cast Ware range. Designed in 1986, this is probably from the 1990s or so. It's made from solid cast iron, coated in a glossy cream coating, with two weighted retaining cords to hold your pages/recipe cards in place. The weights are silver coloured metal. It's very heavy sturdy solid cast iron.

Roughly 25 x 26 x 10cm. The ledge for holding a book is narrow - 26 x 1cm.

Good condition with a few small signs of age/use and a few tiny spots of rust, see all photos. Any marks/spots only show as it's a lighter cream/magnolia version. The adjustable tilt is very stiff so it can be angled with some force, but it holds in place well. Perfect as a prop in a traditional kitchen (more suited to recipe cards than books).
