A Scandinavian art glass vase, by Tamara Aladin for Riihimaki Glass Works, Finland.

Designed around 1970 and produced until the mid 1970s, I believe. It has a warm pinky plum purple coloured body and is cased in clear glass at the base. The purple is like a Whitefriars Aubergine colour. It is round with gently flaring lower half, a central bulge, and a cylindrical upper. Pattern number 1376. Mouth blown in to a mould, hand finished. Flat softened rim. Unsigned.

Good size - 25cm tall x 9.5cm widest. 6cm wide rim and 6.5cm wide base.

Good vintage condition, there are a series of scratches down one side, see photos. Base shows the signs of the age/era. Clean internally.

Great addition to a display, a background prop, and a lovely splash of colour for a collection.
