A beautiful Norwegian handmade deer figurine, from the 1960s or 1970s. Typically Mid Century Modern and vintage Scandinavian style. Beautifully hand carved, smooth, nicely proportioned - all as he should be.

Stamped to the base with 'handmade in Norway', I'm unsure of the exact maker. Teak (distinctive dense reddy hardwood) on a teak base. I've not polished him up, so he's the natural sheen of vintage teak (unvarnished). At some point he has been glued back in to the stand, see last photo.

He's really nice, presentable, displayable, and well preserved for his age (50 years old!?). Please be gentle with him.
