A striking retro red enamelled cast-iron cooking pot or Dutch oven, by Naggo, Denmark. Model no D1.

A versatile casserole or oven cooking pot, suited to oven-to-table dishes. Stunning and simple Scandinavian Modernist design, circa 1970s vintage. It's heavy cast iron, weighing 2kg.

17cm diameter pan, 22.5cm long with handles. 10.5cm tall with lid on. Holds just less than 2 pints - a two-person capacity. Designed to be used in the oven (untested), although this is so nice I'd keep it for display!

This example is great for its age - enamel wears very easily and this only has a few tiny enamel chips along the base line and inner lid line. The colour is lovely and vivid, and it displays beautifully. Some marks internally from cutlery and some rust to the iron base, (the rust to the base has now been cleaned off).
