Vintage Murano Mandruzzato faceted art glass bowl/dish ashtray. Retro 1960s 1970s mid century. Grey diamond sommerso, cased & cut. Italian

A vintage grey Murano Mandruzzato hexagonal art glass dish....

Made in Murano, Venice, Italy. Original design attributed to Mandruzzato or Campanella. It's hexagonal from above, with 18 flat polished cut (faceted) sides, with an hexagonal flat polished base. Each side is skillfully polished flat. Flat polished rim with a rounded hexagonal opening. It's grey internally (a large rounded well) with a thin darker grey floating colour (sommerso) and clear outer casing glass.

Circa 1960s to 1970s vintage. Hand made/hand finished - a beautifully and skillfully made quality piece. Looks amazing in the sunshine and on display, like a diamond.

A decent sized 10.5 x 10.5 x 6cm tall. Around 640g - quite a statement piece of vintage Venetian glass.

Good condition. The inner rim has some tiny nibbles and rougher areas, see last photo. All the points are chip-free - these chip so easily! I'd give it an 8/10, very good for a coffee table.
