Vintage Murano geode. Oval glass bowl/ashtray/dish, turquoise aqua & Royal blue. Italian cased art glass. Mid-century vintage/retro sommerso

A beautiful Murano (Italy) geode from the 1960s or so. It's a more unusual tall oval shape with thick solid glass and an oval inner well. Glass is around 1.8cm thick. Flat polished geode rim, like it's been cut in half. Bright aqua turquoise outer colouring with a deep Royal Blue floating inner well. Sommerso floating/cased colour. Very striking vivid colourway. Flat polished base as you'd expect for quality Murano.

Excellent example, very collectable and displayable. Not many signs of age. It has a tiny nibble inside the rim and a small slither chip nearby (hard to see, see last photo). Only mentioned for accuracy - you can't see really see them. Please see all photos.
