Vintage Mantsalan Lasisepat 'cow parsley' large glass fruit bowl by Pertti Kallioinen. Finland/Finnish design, made in Italy. Clear textured

A large Mid-century fruit or serving bowl with a cow parsley relief pattern on its four undulating 'leaves'. Highly textured 3D Cow parsley seed head patterns (Koiranputki in Finnish) are on the outsides, smooth inner surfaces. Designed by Pertti Kallioinen and originally made by Finnish glass manufacturer Mantsalan Lasisepat - production was later continued by Kosta Boda in Finland and in Italy. This is an Italian version of the Finnish design. 1970s or 1980s vintage.

Suitable for fruit, salads, or just for display. Perfect for entertaining at Christmas.

Excellent condition with no chips or anything. The photos don't do it justice, it's typical Scandinavian high quality pressed/formed glass - bright clear glass.

9" or 23cm wide (round shape) x 9.5cm tall (pen shown for scale). Weighs just over 1kg. Stamped on the base with 'Italy'.
