Vintage Kosta hedgehog by Vicke Lindstrand. Signed art glass paperweight figurine. Scandinavian mid century animal. Boda porcupine figure

A cute handmade vintage Kosta hedgehog figurine designed by Vicke Lindstrand.

A solid crystal glass minimalist hedgehog, with a mass of small simple engraved lines as hair-like spines, small polished snub nose, and small round etched eyes. Designed in the late 50s, this is a 1970s version (with the five figure code to the base). Made in Sweden by Kosta - became Kosta Boda in 1976 I believe. Flat polished base, which is fully hand signed "Kosta 91329 LINDSTRAND" (I think those are the numbers, unusual to have Lindstrand written there as well).

In very good condition with no obvious flaws or chips. There's a tiny pin-prick like scratch under his nose - this may well be from manufacture. Being hand finished these are all slightly different - this one has a shorter nose and a flatter area towards his bottom. He's just adorable!

Includes P&P to the UK. Perfect gift idea.
