Vintage Kosta Boda art glass lion. Bertil Vallien Zoo Series, 1970s retro Scandinavian. Swedish paperweight ornament. Flat back figurine

A beautiful small lion from the Zoo Series designed by Bertil Vallien for Boda (later became Kosta Boda) in the 1970s. He's the smallest one from the series of zoo animals (I believe there's three sizes of lions, most you find face the other way). High quality Swedish/Scandinavian art glass. Has a flat back, often used as a paperweight or an ornamental for display. I think they were all handmade - blown in to a mould - undoubtedly with a crystal content glass.

Small sized - He's 4" wide (10cm) and just shy of 7cm tall. Excellent condition.

Would make a great addition to a Zoo Collection! Perfect gift idea too.
