Vintage Italian pottery fish wall hanging. Kitsch fat lava style turquoise & red art. Mid century retro ceramic. 1970s ornamental plaque

A fabulous vintage Italian Pottery fish for your wall...

He's a bit of fun and kitsch, in vivid turquoise, red and orange. The deliberately roughly painted turquoise varies from white to black through jade and teal green/blues. The colouring and techniques are typically West German fat lava era, or like the Trentham Potteries animal figurines. Probably from the 1970s, although he shows no signs of age so could be more recent. Designed as a flat back wall hanging with a wire hook, he is stamped 'ITALY' to the reverse. The clay/pottery below is reddy coloured. I'm unsure of the exact maker and age.

A good size: 26.5cm long x 19cm tall x just 2cm deep. Excellent condition, all as manufactured and as the artist intended.
