A vintage handmade plant pot holder by Dennis Edward Lucas, from Hastings Pottery. He worked at the pottery from 1956 to 1995, but this is likely to be 1960s or 1970s era. Hand thrown rounded shape, it is a straight sided planter. Predominantly deep glossy brown with hand-painted cream mottled bubbled dripping vertical stripes (in long oval shapes). The deep brown is very shiny and almost iridescent. Deep glossy brown inside.
Excellent condition with not many signs of use. The base has some glue marks from old felt. 13.5cm tall x 13cm wide. Internal rim is 12cm wide and 12cm deep internally. Perfect for display and use.
