Vintage fish bottle opener, wooden. Retro 1970s/80s barware. Carved hardwood shark shaped drinks/beer opener. MCM mid century Modernist

A 1970s (or so) Mid-century Modern/Danish style wooden fish or shark-shaped bottle opener. I'm unsure of the wood type - it's a blond wood with a striking grain, may be walnut. The fish is varnished from time of manufacture. He has two small black bead eyes. His open mouth forms a bottle opener. Nicely carved Modernist style simplified shape. No maker's marks, so unknown origin, most likely European.

He's in good condition. There's some natural ageing/imperfections to the original varnish. Has been used and does have small marks, and is very useable - but probably better for display. 22cm long.

Perfect for a mid century home, and for your retro bar or mancave.
