Vintage Empoli genie bottle/decanter, Italy. 22" amber art glass, conical shaped pressed glass container. Mid century 1970s retro, Italian

A lovely retro golden amber art glass genie bottle. Like most of these, it's from around the 1970s and is most likely to have been made in the Empoli region of Italy. It's a good size (22" tall), conical shaped pressed glass, with a typical pointy stopper. The pattern is wave or swirl like.

On display this is in excellent condition. No sharp edges or chips, clean, very displayable. No maker's marks. It's pressed glass (shaped by a mould) so has a couple of natural formation lines and bubbles. The original stopper is great externally but internally the inner end has chip, see photos. The stopper is missing its original plastic seal. The colour is a lovely rich golden amber - perfect for neutral decor.

39cm tall bottle, with stopper it's 56cm tall. Stopper is 20cm tall.

A retro statement for a windowsill, or perfect on a mid-century modern teak sideboard, or as part of a genie collection. A great example!
