Vintage Empoli art glass jug/vase, Italy. Turquoise/cyan/baby blue & cased white. Tall pointy pitcher + twisted handle. Retro 1970s kitsch

A fantastic pale turquoise (or pale cyan or bright baby blue) coloured Empoli ornamental pitcher jug or vase. It's cased with white inside so it's not transparent - the twisted glass handle is a contrasting clear bright turquoise. You can see the white casing internally on the angled rim, see photos. Vintage, circa 1960s or 1970s, from Empoli, Italy. It's mouth blown and hand made rather than moulded or mass-produced pressed glass.

Very good condition. Please study all photos, there's just a few tiniest signs of its age and era. A decent sized statement 29cm tall x 11cm round belly. 2.5cm wide at its narrowest on the neck - so only suitable for a few stems if used as a vase.

A retro statement, perfect on a mid-century modern teak sideboard or shelving display.
