The design for Dansk was by Swede Bertil Vallien in the mid 1960s. It is a simple Modernist spiral form, heavy solid metal that's silver plated zinc. Twelve small holes for tall thin candles - thought to be for the 12 Days of Christmas. Stamped on the base 'Dansk Designs Japan BV' and 'EP Zinc' (my other one is made in China).

Circa 1970s vintage, but could be newer. Excellent condition - high-shine, highly reflective (as you can see), with minimal signs of age and use. Perfect for a Mid Century or minimal interior.

13cm tall x 12cm wide max. Please note it takes very thin candles - each hole is just 7.5mm wide.
