Vintage Czech faceted ashtray. Retro cut glass dish. Lilac blue neodymium alexandrite. Bohemian: Art Deco Moser + 1960s Mandruzzato style

A fantastic Czech Bohemian faceted glass ashtray, in an Art Deco or mid century modern Murano Mandruzzato style.

Unknown maker - probably Moser - and most likely 1960s to 1970s vintage. It's triangular shape with cut off corners, three channels for a cigarette, and a triangular inner well. The rim is flat and polished. There's 6 cut polished triangular faces (facets), going down to a triangular flat polished base. Each side is polished flat and it reflects the light in an amazing way.

It's a lilac coloured neodymium glass - in theory the glass should change colour to a cold pale blue under an artificial flourescent light (but I don't have this light to check it). It's hand made/hand finished - a beautifully and skillfully made quality piece. Looks amazing in the sunshine and on display, the photos don't do it justice (taken in bad light).

A petite 25mm high x 94mm wide x 86mm deep. Excellent example with just one miniscule fleabite.
