Vintage Cinque Ports Pottery vase, The Monastery, Rye. 1970s retro golden tan/brown glossy glazed & sgraffito spirals. 9" ceramic handmade.

A vintage Cinque Ports Pottery vase from 'The Monastery' workshop in Rye, Sussex, England. Circa 1970s/1980s vintage, it's highly glossy and smooth with a golden tan coloured base and stripes of contrasting brown, and a dark brown top and bottom. The middle stripe has sgraffito spirals hand drawn into the decor. Has a West German ceramic feel about it - with typical colours and patterns from the era.

It's 9" tall x 9cm wide at the base, lightly tapering in. Would hold a good dozen stems. Excellent clean condition with just a couple of manufacturing flaws (dots/pits in the glaze). Stamped to the base.

Looks great on a mid century sideboard!
