Vintage Caleppio Ware mid-century large fruit bowl & six small bowls. Italian synthetic moulded wood. Teak effect 1960s/1970s retro plastic

A fun set of vintage moulded faux wood bowls. Made in Italy by Caleppio Ware, the large serving bowl maintains its original (unreadable) instruction label. The nature of this faux wood plastic/melamine means they are unbreakable, lightweight, ideal for hot or cold foods, suitable for the fridge, non-absorbent, washable, stackable.

Curved wood-effect plastic - the plastic 'wood' is a hardwood colour and grain, like teak. Circa 1970s era, but may be earlier. Mid century modern era, retro and kitsch fun in styling - perfect for the vintage home, caravan or TV set.

Excellent condition with no chips. The six smaller dessert bowls are 14cm wide x 6.5cm tall with no maker's marks. The large fruit/salad/serving bowl is 10.5cm tall x 24cm wide. You can just make out the 'Calappio' logo on the label.
