Vintage big Broadstairs Pottery vase. 1960s/1970s handmade wheel thrown pot. Retro beige. Studio art Mary Dening/Dianne Sanders/David White.

A lovely larger sized neutral-toned vintage vase (or utensils pot) by Broadstairs Pottery, Kent.

Circa 1970s or so - the pottery ran from 1968 to 1983. Broadstairs Pottery was David James White and Mary Dening I believe, but some pots are also by Dianne Sanders. It is not stamped to the base. Typical of the 70s Studio Pottery era, and much like works from Tremain and Louis Hudson.

Warm biscuit coloured unglazed lower third with three rows of incised shapes, top half is a cream or beige glaze. It's wheel thrown, handmade, and is cylindrical.

It's a good sized and useful 18.5cm tall x 11cm wide. Excellent condition. Any glaze imperfections are from at the time of manufacture.
