Vintage Alessi Juicy Salif citrus squeezer, Philippe Starck Italy. Aluminium lemon/orange juicer. 1980s 1990s Italian designer, metal tripod

An early original example of Alessi's 'Juicy Salif' citrus squeezer, designed by Philippe Starck and made in Italy. It comes with its original paper instructions for use - the paper states it was designed in 1988 though everywhere else says it was from 1990. This version is from that late 1980s or early 1990s era (no web address on the paperwork, a fax number instead). The iconic tall slim tripod design is cast aluminium. It maintains all its original foot pads and is stamped with 'Alessi Italy' along with the logo (the modern versions don't appear to have 'Italy' stamped on them). The long, spider-like legs are tall enough to fit your glass underneath - ready to collect your lemon, orange or lime juice.

29cm tall x 12cm widest. Good vintage condition, has some small marks/signs of use, but overall very striking and fun. Being vintage aluminium the finish is a dull silver grey.

Probably more for display and investment than for practical use.
