Vintage Abraham Palatnik lucite duck figurine. Acrylic 1970s op art paperweight. Mid century Modernist resin perspex Mallard bird sculpture

A super 1970s lucite op art duck figurine, by Abraham Palatnik, Brazil. The sculpture/paperweight is a duck shape with multi-coloured solid and dotted lines forming the feathers of Mallard-like decor, sandwiched in the middle of clear 3D perspex. Minimalist, Modernist, mid-century, tactile - and hard to find.

The contemporary Brazilian artist Abraham Palatnik was a renowned innovator in kinetic, kinechromatic and op art - designing using lucite in the 1970s.

Good to average condition for age and era. He's lost the very end of his lower part of his tail and has some scratches, and the price reflects this. He has a couple of marks towards the back of his head, on both sides, some scratches down his neck, and a rough area on top of his head. One side displays better than the other. Base has remnants of glue from an old label. Please see all photos.

Smaller sized: 11cm long x 8.5cm tall x 2cm wide max.
A lovely mid century retro collectable figurine, perfectly displayable.

Free P&P to the UK.
