Vintage 1987 Finnish Sterling silver 925 cufflinks. Kultaseppa Salovaara Ky Finland. Modernist brushed 1980s retro. Square satin signed JPE

A fab pair of 1980s retro cufflinks by JPE, Kultaseppa Salovaara Ky (Heimo-Kory Oy), Finland.

Very much in a Modernist/Minimalist style - the simple rounded square shapes have a brushed finish and angled sides. Stamped to one side of the posts with 'FINLAND' and the other with 'JPE [Salovaara symbol] 925 [Turku symbol] K8'... all 925 grade Sterling silver, by Kultaseppa Salovaara Ky Finland, Turku, from 1987 (K8). I haven't been able to identify the specific artist JPE. Kultaseppa Salovaara was later known as Heimo-Kory Oy.

Each square is 12 x 12mm diameter. Excellent for the age, both have a curved hallmarked stem/post and a polished free-moving oval back toggle; both toggle well. They weigh 11 grams together.

Simple and stylish Scandinavian vintage gift idea - especially for someone born in 1987.
