A pair of vintage bisque porcelain art candle holders by AK Kasier, West Germany. Circa 1970s vintage. Designed by M Frey - there's a very very feint imprint stamp to the base with his name, also a model number that I can't make out either.

A matte white finish outside with Art Deco style simple flaring stripe pattern. Flared rim with zig-zag detail and glossy white finish inside. The pattern is on the left on the front. Stamped in blue to the base with AK and the crown logo.

Excellent clean and usable and displayable condition. Designed to hold a standard tapered dinner candle - inner well is just over 2cm wide. 12cm tall. 8.5cm x 6cm at the rim. Eye or ellipse shaped base is 6.5cm x 4cm.

Simple, stylish, elegant, bright white Modernist pieces. Perfect for a modern minimalist or Mid-century home.
