Tapio Wirkkala Ultima Thule Iittala, pair of glass candle holders. Finland, vintage 1970s. Two clear ice textured crystal pieces, 7cm wide.

A vintage set of two 1970s Tapio Wirkkala designed Ultima Thule candle holders.
Made in Finland for Iittala, a high quality Scandinavian brand.

The two pieces have hardly been used, great condition.
Each is 7cm wide and about 4cm tall.
Round with slightly tapering in straight 'icy' sides and a textured/bobbled base.
Three little feet underneath. Top part is smooth, flat and tactile.

Very good condition with no chips.
Two tiny impact circles and a small light scratch on one of them, but really very hard to spot!
The crystal content glass is highly shiny and they catch the light beautifully.... hard to photograph!

Very usable and displayable. Lovely bit of classic Mid century design.
