A 1970s/1980s Tapio Wirkkala designed Ultima Thule candle holder. Made in Finland for iittala, a high quality Scandinavian brand.

Round with slightly tapering in straight 'icy' sides and a textured/bobbled base with three feet. Top part is smooth, flat and tactile. Apx 7cm wide by about 3.5cm tall. Inner hole is just under 2cm wide so you could just about squeeze a standard dinner candle in, or use with a slightly slimmer Scandi style candle.

Excellent condition. Crystal content glass means it catches the light beautifully.... hard to photograph! Lovely bit of classic Finnish design.
