A striking art glass vase, by Tamara Aladin for Riihimaki Glass Works, Finland. It was designed in 1966 and produced for a couple of years, so dating from the 1960s. It has a midnight blue inner and is cased in clear glass. It is round and cylindrical and lightly textured with a series of evenly spaced bumps (or a hobnail pattern). It is pattern number 1462. Mouth blown in to a mould. Flat polished rim. Unsigned.

16cm tall x 4.5cm wide at rim.

Excellent condition for age/era. No chips, impact marks, sharp areas or obvious scratches etc. Clean internally. The blue is like a Whitefriars Indigo, or smoky dusky blue or night sky colour.
