Set Rorstrand Picknick Marianne Westman vintage bowls. Hand painted ceramic. 1960s mid century Sweden/Swedish retro pottery, serving dish x3
A set of three stunning mid century serving dishes, designed by Marianne Westman for Rörstrand, Sweden. She worked at Rörstrand during the 1950s and 1960s so likely to date from that era. The name of the design is Picknick - it's a series of hand painted garden vegetables with black outlines, predominantly yellow, teal, navy blue and rich red. The matching dishes are asymmetric triangular and fit within each other - small, medium and large.
Stylised Scandinavian style graphics all round internally. Black outlines with hand painted infills. Base colour glaze is white. Both useable kitchen items and decorative dishes - perfect for serving vegetables or fruity dishes, though in this great condition, probably better as an investment.
Really condition for the age and era, with hardly any signs of use and age. No crazing. One tiny nibble on the largest rim. A couple of spots along the edges where the glaze is thinner, see photos. Stamped to bases with logos.
Small - 20.5 x 17.5 x 6cm. Excellent with just a small baseline flaw.
Medium - 23 x 19.3 x 6.5cm. Excellent with 3 tiny glaze spots inside.
Large - 26 x 22.8 x 8.5cm. Excellent with just one tiny nibble.
Price includes P&P to the UK, by Special Delivery.
