Set 6 Pyrex JAJ Baking Set ramekins, custard pots. Turquoise, duck egg, yellow & pink #2186. Vintage 1960s opal glass. Pastel retro cookware
A beautiful set of six Pyrex JAJ (James A Jobling, England) small ramekins which would have been part of the Baking Set no 2186 in the 1960s (designed in 1959).
The lovely custard cups/ramekins are made of moulded white milk/opal glass, coated with pastel colours on the outside. They're mostly from the earlier version of darker turquoise, spring yellow and pink. The base on the lighter turquoise (duck egg) has the crown with JAJ, made in England (used from 1961 onwards) so this cup would have been from the second release of colours. Five bases are stamped with the crown logo, along with 'Pyrex' in reverse (used until 1962). So circa 1961-1962 vintage.
Multi purpose - perfect for both baking small desserts such as individual crumbles, souffles, etc. or for serving custard, ice cream, sweets, nibbles.
Very nice examples - the colours are bright with not much loss of coating. Minimal marks as you can see. One pink cup has a tiny rim nibble. Each one is 5.7cm tall x 8.7cm wide.
Includes P&P to the UK.
