Scheurich 248-22 pottery vase, orange & black Fat Lava. West German ceramic, 1960s/1970s vintage retro Germany. Pitted craters, glossy glaze

A lovely vintage fat lava textured cylinder vase by Scheurich, West Germany. Dating from the mid century 1960s/1970s era, this has thick black pitted 'fat lava' tiger stripes over contrasting glossy pure vibrant orange glaze. The orangy black stripes are thick and textured and pitted with burst bubbles and craters, as you expect for fat lava texture. A dark glossy inner glaze.

The shape is 248-22... 22 denoting 22cm tall. About 10cm widest at the middle. 5cm inner rim. Stamped to the base.

Very good condition with no chips or crazing. Some natural and deliberate flaws in the glazes - the inner rim has thin glaze with some whiter patches.
