Scheurich 242-22 pottery vase, cream & dark brown, Fat Lava era. West German ceramic 1960s/1970s vintage retro Germany. Spotted volcano drip

A striking curvy ceramic vase by Scheurich, West Germany. Dating from the 'fat lava' 1960s/1970s era, this has shades of cookies and cream. The glazes are deep brown/black layered with pale creams, the textures vary from fine pitting, shiny brown/black spots and smooth matt areas. Flat and smooth bleeding spotted glazes over a simple shape - typically Scheurich. Mid Century Modern and retro in styling - perfect statement for your teak sideboard.

The shape is 242-22... 22 denoting 22cm tall (well, 22.5cm). 11cm widest, 8.5cm wide at the rim. Stamped to the base. Would hold a good 12+ flower stems if used.

Very good condition. I can't see any flaws and there's no chips or cracks. In nice displayable and collectable condition.

Price includes P&P to the UK.
