A beautiful, stylish and statement large art glass bowl/ashtray from the 1960s by Rudolf Jurnikl for Rosice Glassworks, Sklo Union. Czech/Bohemian and dating from around 1962. Pattern no 1045 - a curving sculptural circular shape made from pressed glass. Mid-century modernist and retro in style. It's an amethyst tone of pale purple/lilac.

Upper surfaces are in really good condition with no chips.
Just one pin-prick nibble. One outer edge has a manufacturing imperfection from time of manufacture.
Base is also in really good condition with hardly any signs of use.
It is in really great condition for era. I'd give it a 9/10.... as good as you will find.

Very displayable and impressive weighty example.
Large and heavy - 17cm wide x 6.5cm high. Just over 1.25kg.
