A retro (1970s or so) tall pepper grinder or pepper mill... It's painted orange glossy wood with steel inner components. It feels Scandinavian to me - simple and stylish. Unknown brand, no maker's marks.

16.5cm tall total x 6cm wide on the round head. I've put new peppercorns in for testing - it grinds smoothly with medium coarseness, not too coarse. Very good condition.
