Rare Pyrex JAJ refrigerator dish #501. Vintage 1950s Colourware Sprayware, Jobling glass. Rectangular storage container. Pale yellow retro

A great example of an original lidded Pyrex JAJ (James A Jobling) Refrigerator dish. Design no 501, a small rectangular storage container with clear lid. It's pale yellow Sprayware (or Colourware) over clear glass. The dishes were sold as a nesting set with a larger green version to the base, a blue dish to sit above, and two of these little yellow dishes neatly alongside. The design was from 1952 so from around this year. They were intended for food storage and serving. These vintage English versions now very hard - they're more commonly found with a USA base-stamp, but this is the original 1952 JAJ English version.

Dish, with matching lid on, is 11 x 8.5 x 8.5cm (or 3 1/2" x 4 1/2" x 3 1/2") - the lower section is just over 7cm tall. Stamped underneath with 'PYREX' folded around the JAJ crown within a circle (1952-1953 logo), along with '501-D'. The ridged lid is stamped 'PYREX' along with 501-C. Original lid inverses for neat stacking/space saving.

In great condition for the age and era. No chips, very clean with just some very small areas of wear - a very good collectable 1952 example.
