A fun and retro money box/piggy bank by Carton Ware, England, from a series of vibrant retro designs from the late 1960s/early 1970s. This is the very rare dark blue on white Peacock from the series. All designed by Vivien Brennan.

He's in average condition, he does maintain his original plastic stopper and has the Gold Carlton Ware signature stamp to the base. No signs of use or any chips, HOWEVER it does have some fine cracking around the top of his tail fathers, along an edge. Please study all the photos, particularly the last four. This doesn't not effect functionality.

Base is signed in gold 'Carton Ware, Made in England, trade mark'. Original clear stopper reads 'Made in England' externally and 'Made in England, Regina Industries Ltd' internally. Stopper is perfect. I suspect this money box hasn't been used, but unfortunately it has been impacted on the top right edge. The slot is great. No noticeable crazing or other damage. Displays well, the damage is only noticeable close up.

Really hard to find retro collectable item!
