Portmeirion Pottery Magic Garden coffee pot. Susan Williams-Ellis, vintage 1960s. Retro/vintage kitchen serving, tall cylinder

A super Portmeirion Pottery 'Magic Garden' coffee pot. Designed by Susan Williams-Ellis around 1969 - just after the moon landing and dating from that hippy/space-age era.

Tall and slim and cylinder shaped, with a black lid. Overall, 33cm to the top of the lid, and 8.5cm wide. The pot is 27.8cm tall and it's 21.5cm long from spout to end of handle. It's not stamped to the base.

It's in vintage condition with no chips or cracks. The white ceramic has crazing all over and as such is perfect for display and for a collection, and not suited to use. The print is very good and vivid with no scratches; it's dark blues, blacks and greens and depicts a trippy garden with stylised ferns and flowers. The lid is matt black and excellent - I have seen another with this colour lid - most came with a white lid.

A harder to find design. Priced accordingly due to the crazing (see last two photos).
