A super Poole Pottery 'Green Diamond' storage jar, for thyme. Lidded with original incorporated cork inner bung - the seal works. White ceramic with dark greeny blue /black diamond geometric patterns. Designed by Robert Jefferson in 1963, so likely to be 1960s era, made in England. Retro op art styling.

A good size - suitable for bigger herb and spice quantities. 7.8cm tall x 7.2cm wide at the base. Stamped to the base.

Very clean with no chips, cracks or crazing - as good as you'll find and glaze is as originally manufactured. Good lid too. Overall, hardly used and excellent condition. Very usable, collectable and displayable.
