Perfect Whitefriars Ruby Red art glass bowl #9516. 1960s/1970s. Vintage/retro three-sided triangular dish. Mid century 60s, Geoffrey Baxter

A fantastic 'Ruby Red' art glass bowl by Whitefriars. It's featured in the 1966 to 1972 catalogues, so likely to be late 1960s vintage. Model no 9516, designed by Geoffrey Baxter. It's the smaller 5 1/4" triangular bowl in this design.

A simple and stylish rounded triangle shape, on a small round clear foot. The deep red appears to be sommerso - floating - lightly cased in clear glass. Heavy thick quality glass, hand made, mouth blown. Typical Whitefriars polished pontil and base. 14 x 14 x 6cm.

As close to perfect condition as you will find - probably one of the best ones out there! Ideal gift for a collector.
