Pavel Panek glass fruit bowl, Libochovice Sklo Union, Czech/Bohemian. 1970s vintage retro. Ice textured round dish. Cobalt blue, mid century
These vintage pressed glass bowls are widely believed to be designed by Pavel Panek and made at the Czech factory, Libochovice (Sklo Union). Circa 1970s vintage, with a typical retro feel of that time.
It's a striking mid Cobalt or Royal blue pressed/moulded glass dish. A more unusual colourway - these are usually pale green. Outside surface is jagged and textured, inside is smooth - very much a Scandinavian style. Catches the light beautifully, ice like pattern/texture. Round conical flaring out shallow shape with irregular spiky rim. This bowl is often mistaken for the Revontulet by Tauno Wirkkala for Humppila, Finland.
Excellent condition for the age. 29cm wide x 8.5cm high (large fruit bowl or centre piece size). Quite a retro statement in a great colour!
Includes P&P to the UK. UK only due to size and weight.
