Pair vintage Dartington pint glasses FT227. Frank Thrower traditional tankard. 1970s retro Handmade lead crystal glass. Drinking, two 1 pint

A super pair of retro Dartington pint glasses, designed by Frank Thrower.

They're design no FT227 which dates from 1978. Frank jokingly nicknamed these 'Ale Be Seeing You'. They each maintain their original gold sticker - one dates it to pre 1980 and one to post 1980. The gold stickers indicate they were 1st class, rather than seconds. They're heavy, quality and clear 24% lead crystal - they weigh 1.5kg together.

Each glass is 13-13.5cm tall, about 8.5cm wide rim, 10cm wide thick sturdy glass base (rounded wide stabilising base). They each hold 500ml or 1 pint to the rim.

Very good condition. Being handmade one glass is slightly taller than the other. Lovely chunky traditional pint glasses, perfect gift idea!
