A super Norman Stuart Clarke art glass handmade round vase, dating from 1994. Clarke (b.1944) is one of Britain's leading artist glassblowers - he worked alongside prominent glass artist Peter Layton before moving to Cornwall in the 1980s. This piece, Golden Seascape, was from his 90s Cornish era and is very much inspired by the local land and sea and skies.

Mouth blown and skilfully handmade it is fully hand signed 'Norm Stuart Clarke 94' to the baseline. Speckled deep blue lower half with four different white enamel-like rough waves/swirls and golden greeny iridescent streaky skies above. A globe shape it has a narrow neck and turned out round rim. Small round base.

Very good condition with no noticeable flaws. 8cm tall x 7.5cm widest. More a collectable and ornamental art piece.
