Niva by Tapio Wirkkala, Iittala, pair of tumblers. Two vintage 1970s glasses. Clear retro drinking/bar 175ml glass Finland. Whisky/gin G&T

A vintage pair of 1970s Tapio Wirkkala designed Niva tumbler glasses.... perfect for a whisky or G&T! I believe the design was 1971 and produced until 1992, so circa 1970s or 1980s vintage. Model number 2031, made in Finland by iittala. Distinctive icy bobble linear patterns, with bunching around around the centre, like dripping melting scrunched-up ice.

Each is around 175ml - a mid sized tumbler. So ideal for a double Whisky or something on the rocks, or a shot or two, or a Schnapps etc. They're each 7cm tall x 7.5cm wide.... wider than they are tall, a squat shape. Crystal content quality formed glass.

Very good condition. A few tiny signs of age, see last photos with some hard to spot surface marks from washing and storage. Vintage originals.... and just the right size too!
