A super NilsJohan (Sweden) Pyrex rectangular shallow casserole dish on a copper and brass stand. The design is 'Gourmet' and the design is by Rolf Sinnemark.

The box states "Casserole of ovenproof smoke-coloured glass, 28x18cm, capacity 2 litres. Serving stand of copper with handles and fittings of brass. The glass casserole can be placed in the serving stand straight from the oven for convenient serving. Dishwasher safe." It also states it is model no 480628, made by Hackman Finland.

Pyrex dish states: "232-N. 28x18x4cm. 2l. PYREX Corning UK. For oven and microwave. No stovetop or broiler." The outside dimensions of the Pyrex are 32 x 18.5cm, it has carry handles. It's smoke brown hard-wearing glass. The copper and brass holder is 38.5cm x 19.5cm wide.

Circa late 1980s or early 1990s vintage, this has never been used and was a corporate gift to a friend of mine back in the day. I took it out of its original plastic wrapping to photograph it. The box has been through a few house moves though! The design may well be 1960s.

New and unused condition. The brass would benefit from a buff-up. Box is a bit tatty.
