Murano vintage art glass bowl. Mid century cased scoop dish. Deep red sommerso & clear + white. Retro 1950s/1960s Italian or Scandinavian

A super vintage art glass bowl, most likely from Murano, Italy, although it could well also be Scandinavian, like Ryd or Magnor. It's unsigned and circa 1950s or 1960s vintage.

Nice organic sweeping lightly scooped shape, very tactile with softened edges. Mouth blown, unique. Pure (almost blood) red colour, floating sommerso style, cased in clear glass. Unusually, within the red there's a further layer of white opaline that you can't see but which makes the bowl non-transparent towards the base - you can see the formation of the layers on the flat polished base.

30cm x 10cm tall x 13cm wide. Very good condition, very displayable. Upper body is all very nice, stunning colouring. No chips or obvious marks. There are a couple of small imperfections/inclusions from time of manufacture. Base shows minimal signs of age. See pics.

This has been in my family for 9 years, it's a lovely displayable artist-made quality piece.
