Murano Mandruzzato multi faceted vintage vase. Red & amber sommerso, cased clear art glass. Cut face square block. 60s/70s Mid century retro

A stunning Murano sommerso multi faceted glass vase, attributed to and probably by Mandruzzato, Murano, Italy. It's a decent 20.5cm tall and about 8cm widest. It's in red with an amber sommerso layer. Handmade and skilfully mouth blown art glass.

A pure red colour inside with a floating submerged amber colour (sommerso), all cased in clear glass. Square (flat and polished) top and bottom with 12 cut off flat polished sides, triangular and diamond like. 12 sides (4 x 3 if you study the photos). Vintage 1960s/1970s Mid-century iconic design - unsure of exact vintage of this example, probably 1970s. It weighs 1.09kg, a super chunk of vintage art glass.

Very good condition with not many signs of age. There's one middle corner white impact dot, see photos. Flat polished base with not many signs of its age. Flat polished rim is as it would have been finished by the artist, with natural wonkiness and some tooling marks. I'd give it a 8.5/10, great for display and for a collector... it's been well looked after.
