Murano Mandruzzato faceted bowl/dish/ashtray. Vintage retro 1960s/70s art glass. Silver grey sommerso, cased. Italy, mid century square cube

A super Murano art glass dish. Made in Murano, Italy, and circa 1960s or 1970s vintage. Original design attributed to Mandruzzato. It's a shallow cube shape. Each side is skillfully polished flat and parallel, block like. Flat polished rim with a rounded square inner well. It's grey internally (a rounded inner well) with a dark grey floating colour (sommerso) - it's different shades of grey from different angles. The outer glass, the casing, is clear. There's a cut channel for a cigarette - would have been intended as a fancy ashtray back in the day.

Hand made/hand finished - a beautifully made quality piece. Looks amazing in the sunshine and on display!

5.1cm tall x 7.6cm wide. Around 590g - quite a solid block of Venetian glass.

Really good displayable condition with no obvious scratches or bites. There's a few tiny bubbles. The last photo shows an impact mark on a bottom corner - it is internal scar that's about 7mm long. Please see all photos. Overall, I'd give it a 8.5/10 - great for age and era, and you'll love it!

Includes P&P to the UK. Perfect gift idea.
