A super Murano sommerso art glass dish. Made in Murano, Italy. Original design attributed to Mandruzzato or Campanella.
It's square from above, with triangular and diamond shaped cut (faceted) sides, tapering down to a textured square base.
There's 12 cut sides (3 x 4), which reflect the light in an amazing way. Flat polished rim.
It's vivid ruby red internally (a rounded well) with a layer of golden amber yellow floating colour (sommerso). The outer glass, the casing, is clear.

I'm guessing it's a 1980's version of the design as the gold paper original sticker is in very good clean condition.
Hand made/hand finished - a beautifully made quality piece.
Base has a waffle like texture, creating interesting echoes of pattern in the facets' reflections.
Looks amazing in the sunshine.

6.5cm tall x 12.5cm wide.
Just under 800g - quite a nice statement chunk of Venetian glass!
As good as you will find, with no chips, nibbles etc... Perfect gift idea.
